The Meaning of ‘Blossom’ – A Painting of Two White Ravens with a golden nest
This painting is about what your true self wants and the power of self acceptance.
When you can quiet your mind enough to hear the still voice of your higher self then you will know what you truly desire. This painting speaks to the powerful process of showing your authentic true self to be present with others, and this creates intimacy and deep connected relationships. When we try to have relationships with people based on who we think we should be or what people can do for us then intimacy is not possible. Our lives blossom each time we have the courage to reveal another hidden aspect of ourselves.
I use gold metallic paint often in my paintings and I used it as the winding leaf colour and nest for this magical white raven painting. This offers a rich contrast to the deep blue background. The colour gold in this painting symbolises abundance of the Divine around us and or personal success, whatever that means to us. At the higher spiritual level, this colour symbolises higher ideals, understanding, wisdom, and enlightenment. It inspires a deep connection and understanding of the soul and self, and spirituality. The deep blue background colour blends into the centre to a rich turquoise to create the feeling of infinite sky and space.
The white magnolias are very special to me. These trees captured my heart when I went to the coast for the first time and I was in awe of these trees with their massive tulip-like blossoms. The pure white colour is the colour of divine light and at the centre, between the two ravens is a blossom of a delicate coral sunset orange. This signifies the blossoming of our souls and then of our relationships as we release old patterns and beliefs that limit our soul experience and our relationships.
Raven is my totem so I paint a lot of them and I never get tired of seeing what the raven is going to be doing in the painting and what gifts and medicine will come with it.
When I create an inspired painting it is always with the intention that it will be in service to humanity. Whatever the view sees in it is their own gift and is between them and Creator.
