Sovereignty is self government and not recognizing that anyone has any more power than you do. Our power comes from within and seeking it outside of ourselves and giving it away to others is not sovereignty. This means that since we trust ourselves to take care of ourselves we are free to connect on a deep level and listen to others and respect our differences. We are open to learning and deciding for ourselves what resonates with us. We are interdependant (instead of co-dependant) and keep ourselves surrounded by healthy relationships.  When something someone does affects us we are able to speak our truth with compassion and respect. 
We can only be sovereign if we are balanced and healthy in body, mind and spirit and we love ourselves.
