Meaning of the painting by the Arist:
Untangling ourselves from anything that is not true for us sets us free. Seeing that we make choices from fractured parts of ourselves is the first step in uncovering what we actually value. These fractured parts of us need to be loved and allowed space to be in order to heal. Instead what we do is we treat these parts of ourselves like we were treated as children. We suppress them, talk 'at' them and we tell them what to think and feel.  This perpetuates our patterns of suffering.
