May and June ONLINE Intuitive Art Workshops
Hello and welcome.
If you are looking for a way to connect to your intuitive inner voice then you have come to the right place. Your intuitive inner voice is the creative genius within you and the more you learn to listen to it, the more your life will look like it's yours and not someone else's. In this process we learn to listen and follow our inner voice without the worry of the outcome.
Any level of art experience from beginner to expert is perfect, and this process can work for anyone. I will show you how to use all of the materials in a step-by-step process.
If you have been to one of Intuitive Art Workshops before or you have not, you are welcome! Every time you do this process you will have a different result and connection with yourself. I encourage you to join me and the others in many of these workshops to become comfortable with listening to your inner authentic creative voice.
Here are some of the benefits of this workshop:
-Getting unstuck in your creative process and moving forward with your life
-Being creative despite fears of being creative
-Working through blocks to your own creativity
-Allowing yourself to be creative without being perfect
-For beginners: an introduction to an art process that works for anyone
-For experienced artists: get back into your creative flow and discover a new art process
I am looking forward to connecting, creating and sharing with you.
Blessings and love to you,
Sandra Kunz

Why try Intuitive Art?
Creating Authentic Art for Self Expression, Connection and Healing
In this process we let go of the pressure of creating art that needs to be beautiful and instead we will create art for the purpose of getting creatively un-stuck, communicating with our soul, self connection, self-love, understanding, healing, self expression and for the simple pleasure of being creative without the judgement of outcome. Sometimes we just want to create and/or we have blocks to our creativity in our lives, and giving ourselves the time and space to birth something authentic from our soul is a precious gift.
So, what is creativity? Creativity is the language of the soul. It is essential that we are creative in some way - no matter what that looks like for each individual. When we are creative it allows our inner self to express and communicate. This is our soul, our deepest essence of what makes us who we are as individuals. When we don't acknowledge and express that part of us we don't value it and so often people wonder why their life does not feel like it is theirs, but rather it feels like someone else's life. The starting point is to give your inner voice and creativity an outlet and what often stops us from authentically creating is fear. Fear of other people's reactions and judgement because we are doing something different or unexpected, fear of our own judgement, fear of failure, fear of success, and fear of not being loved if we are authentic. We just fear and we learn not to express what is probably the most fascinating and essential part of ourselves. Learn more about intuitive art.
This process that I offer can be a different experience for everyone as everyone comes with different needs but, this process is designed to change the habitual way that you create, and tune you into your inner voice and intuition. I also bring to this workshop safe space to be vulnerable and with my extensive set of art skills and healing facilitation you will be well supported on this journey. Over time, as with anything, the more we create the more comfortable we become with our artistic expression and the more we may find that we love our art.
You may notice that all of the art supplies are black and white. This is on purpose and designed as part of the process. You do not need a ton of colours to be creative and having too many choices is a serious hindrance in this process at first.
In this session:
-We will meet on zoom and connect with each other in a check-in.
-I will go through each of the art supplies and how to apply them.
And then we are ready to start!
-I will then lead you through a guided meditation to get you heart-focused, into your creative 'zone' and flow. We will use breath throughout this process to connect our creative self to our physical body. We will set and intention for what we wish to experience and learn about ourselves.
-When we are finished we will have a sharing circle to share our journey and insights. This can be powerful as we have the privilege to witness the journey of others, and because this process works differently for everyone, hearing someone else share their experience can open up insights and wisdom into our own journey.
List of Suggested Materials:
Note: These will cost approximately $50 CAD. You can share some of these materials with other people so if you want to do this with one to 6 other people. The materials you can share is the India Ink, the White Acrylic Paint, Watercolour Paper, and Masking Tape. I also encourage you to do this process with me on a regular basis and do this on your own! The more you do it the more in tune you become with your inner voice and the more skilled you become with the materials.
-Some of you beautiful souls may be intimidated by going to an art store. Just breath and know that it is only a store like any other store and that you have every right to be there and to ask as many questions as you need to. I love my art store in Edmonton (Delta Art and Drafting Supplies). They have great selection, prices and service. Going to the art store may be part of your process to come out of your creativity shell. You can do it! All of these supplies can be purchased at Michael's (for those of you in North America) and you can download coupons to use for a single item that is more expensive like the watercolour paper.
-If you want to use different materials and follow your own art process that is fine. I do suggest that you use this process if you are stuck creatively and tend to overthink instead of using your intuition.
A) Paint tray. You can also just use a couple plastic lids from a yogurt container or a dinner plate for this exercise as we are only using black and white colours.
B) White Acrylic Paint. You can use liquid or heavy bodied paint. If you don't know what that means then don't worry about it and get whichever white acrylic paint speaks to you. You will notice that there is a range of products and prices because of the quality of the paint. It is ok to choose cheaper/student quality paint for this process.
C) Spray Bottle For Water. You can purchase a new one or use an old cleaned out bottle that was used for cleaner. Just make sure that the water comes out in a spray/mist and not in a stream. I purchased a small one from the art store that has a good spray that was very inexpensive.
D) Black India Ink or Black Watercolour Ink. A small bottle is fine as a little goes a long way.
E) Black Permanent Marker. Extra Fine Tip. A sharpie is fine.
F) Brushes. At least one larger brush and a brush for finer work. If you just get one brush get a round brush that comes to a fine point. If you feel like it get any other brushes that appeal to you. Cheaper brushes are fine.
G) Black and white Charcoal Pencil and sharpener. I suggest the pencils and not the sticks for sharpening purposes. Black charcoal should be extra soft.
H) Watercolour Paper. Minimum 9" x 12" watercolour block, watercolour pad, or a large sheet that you cut into approximately 9" x 12" pieces.
A block is glued on all four edges and you peal the paper off a sheet at a time when you are finished your painting. A watercolour pad is glued on one side and you need to tape your watercolour paper down to a solid surface when you are painting on it so the paper won't buckle when you apply water to it, which is what I do. You also need to tape down individual sheets if you are cutting a large sheet. I tape my paper down with masking tape to a masonite board that I get at my art store for less than $2 CAD.
All watercolour paper comes in a weight. The higher the weight the thicker the paper and the more water it can hold. It doesn't really matter what weight you get for this class. I am using 140 lb at the moment.
Watercolour paper comes in different textures (smooth, rough ect.) stick with the smoother ones for this process.
I) Masking tape. To tape down watercolour paper if you are using a pad or large cut down sheet.
J) Board. Tape your watercolour paper to this board if you are using a pad or cutting down a large sheet. I use an 11" x 14" masonite board from the art store. You can use any surface as long as it is slightly larger than your sheet of watercolour paper and tape will stick to it. Even a piece of cardboard will work. The photo shows what it looks like when a piece of watercolour paper is properly taped to a board. My apologies, the board is difficult to see as it's almost the same colour as the brown art paper underneath it.
K) Water colours. Optional! You do not need to have the watercolours if you have not done this process before. The other art materials are more than sufficient.
Water colours come in a few different varieties and quality. You can use any kind that you like, but I am suggesting the watercolour pallet for ease and cost. I do suggest the professional quality, but most art supply stores will have one for about $7- $15 CAD.
Other optional materials:
These are optional and depend on budget and whether these materials look interesting to you.
1) 1 - 3 acrylic colours that you love. This can be either full bodied (thicker) acrylics or fluid acrylics. This can include metallic colours. A small tube or container will do.
2) White Acrylic pen (extra fine)
Other stuff you will need:
-Water Cup
-Paper towel, toilet paper, or paper napkins
-Large towel, plastic table cloth, or heavy paper to put down on your table
-Something to wear that you don't mind getting paint off of. Acrylic doesn't wash out of clothing.
Optional: You may want a hair dryer or space heater to speed up the drying process.
About Sandra Kunz
I am an intuitive artist and healer. I have been a professional intuitive artist for 14 years and an intuitive healer for 7 years. The two are intrinsic as my art is a part of my healing practice and my intuitive healing is a part of my art.
I consider myself an intuitive artist because I don't have the end product in mind when I start my paintings. I allow myself to be guided by my intuition throughout the process.
The result almost always astounds me as I am usually unaware of what my subconscious mind is communicating while I am doing it, and sometimes I don't fully understand the meaning of my paintings for years after I have completed them. I realized a long time ago that a very important part of my process is non judgement. Art is a journey just like life. Sometimes its pretty and sometimes it isn't. The not-so-pretty parts always teach me something and often they are happy mistakes that lead to an essential aspect of the painting. Some of my art just doesn't turn out and that's ok. I try not to judge and I keep going. The most important aspect of my art is that it has meaning as it comes from my creative essence. That always comes first.
I am so excited to offer this Intuitive Art Workshop as it combines my extensive skills and gifts as an artist, an art instructor, an intuitive healer, my skills as a facilitator of healing in groups and circles, and my gift of creating guided meditations that bring alignment and clarity.
